How Destination NZI collects, uses, protects and deletes your personal information.
Who we are
Destination New Zealand Immigration Limited (“we”) provides licensed immigration advice. This notice explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
Contact details, your immigration goals and history, family, qualifications and employment details, and — only where needed for your visa — character and health information. If you upload documents we store them securely.
Why we collect it
To assess your enquiry, give immigration advice, prepare and lodge applications with your authority, and keep you informed. We only ask for what we need.
Information about other people
If you tell us about a partner, child or sponsor, please let them know. Where we collect information about someone from another person, we take reasonable steps to make sure they are aware (Information Privacy Principle 3A, in force from 1 May 2026).
Who sees it
Your adviser and authorised staff only. We share information with Immigration New Zealand and other agencies only to progress your application or where the law requires.
Security and retention
Information is encrypted in transit and stored with restricted access. Uploaded documents are never sent as ordinary email attachments. We keep files only as long as needed for your matter and our legal obligations, then delete them securely.
Website analytics and translation
We use privacy-conscious analytics that never record your form answers. Automatic translation is provided by Google through GTranslate; translated text is processed by Google.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct your information at any time. Contact us at info@destinationnzi.com. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
